Medical Physics & Bioengineering provide scientific software development support for Medical Instrumentation for the Trust. They have expertise in the development of databases (using Microsoft Access), examples include the Pacemaker Database used for pacemaker implants, Cardiology Database and the Medical Equipment Committee (MEC) database.
Medical Physics & Bioengineering have designed and written software for the proposed Medical Equipment Library – using barcode readers to allow nursing and portering staff to accurately record equipment borrowed from the Library.
Other projects include software (Visual Basic) to interface to a range of medical equipment for logging and recording purposes.
