Overview
In October 2014 Vascular services were centralised to form the Bristol, Bath and Weston Vascular Network. This resulted in all vascular surgery previously performed at RUH being moved to the Major Arterial Centre (MAC) at Southmead Hospital, North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT), Bristol.
Outpatient clinics (delivered by the NBT Consultants and CNS team), diagnostic services and varicose vein treatments have continued at the RUH.
Vascular Studies continue to work collaboratively with the visiting NBT Vascular Consultants, Vascular Clinical Nurse Specialists, and podiatrists, providing specialist diagnostic testing, review and treatment for vascular patients living in the Bath and Wiltshire areas.
