Join our Maternity Team - we're recruiting midwives

There has never been a more exciting and innovative time to work in our Maternity department at the Royal United Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking self-motivated, innovative and flexible midwives to work within our continuity of carer teams and/or in our integrated teams providing care to families.

As a midwife working within our services we can offer you experience across all areas of maternity including, community maternity units, stand-alone birthing centres, homebirth and the consultant-led birth centre, acute postnatal and transitional care settings. You will work in a highly motivated and friendly Maternity team covering Bath, North East Somerset and West Wiltshire.

Our Maternity team provides high quality, woman-centred care, and has already implemented work to provide continuity of care for families in line with the national Better Births maternity review and in our latest CQC review we were rated as ‘Outstanding’ which we are very proud of and wish to maintain.

Our service consists of an acute and two standalone birth centres. We also have two community midwifery-led units, a 24-hour Maternity Assessment Unit and we are in the planning stages of an alongside midwifery unit at the RUH site. Joining our Maternity team is a great opportunity to become part of a transforming organisation where we aim to ensure all women have access to the optimal birth environment in accordance with their choice.

The RUH strives to be a diverse and inclusive employer where we can all be ourselves and celebrate our diversity and the benefits that diversity brings to our teams and the care we provide. We particularly encourage applications from people who identify as Black, Asian or from a Minority Ethnic background, who are under-represented within our Maternity Services.
