Special instructions
A 6-8 hour fast prior to sample collection is required.

For a full gut hormone profile, 3 x EDTA tubes (at least 5mL blood) must be received on ice within 15 minutes of collection.

For gastrin measurement, H2 blockers should be stopped for 72 hours and omeprazole for 2 weeks prior to blood collection.
