Clinical Application
CA-125 is a tumour marker for diagnosed ovarian cancer. Its application in screening is limited by sensitivity and specificity. Pre-operative measurement should always be made, and include CEA , as in some rare cases of ovarian cancer this may be elevated when CA125 is not.
