Please ensure that the tube is filled to between the two lines marked on the side of the tube.

Clinical Application
The ESR is used to as an indicator of the acute phase response and is a helpful indicator of the presence and extent of inflammation and its response to treatment.

The ESR is a useful for monitoring patients with rheumatoid arthritis, temporal arteritis, polymyalgia and Hodgkin’s disease, where the disease activity is mirrored by changes in the ESR.
