Clinical Application
ENA typing is performed by immunoblotting. Three blotting profiles are available. The appropriate choice of profile is dependant on clinical information, if provided, and initial screening results.
The myositis immunoblotting profile screens for: Anti-OJ, EJ, PL-12, PL-7, SRP, Jo-1, Pm-Scl75, Pm-Scl100, Ku, SAE, NXP-2, MDA5, TIF-1g, Mi-2 and Ro-52.
Please contact the laboratory if you require a screen for anti-cN1A to be included in the myositis immunoblotting profile.
The ANA immunoblotting profile screens for: Anti-AMA-M2, Ribosomal-P, Histone, Nucleosome, ds-DNA, PCNA, CENP-B, Jo-1, Pm-Scl, Scl-70, Ro-60, Ro-52, La, U1-RNP and Sm.
The systemic sclerosis (nucleolar) immunoblotting profile screens for: Anti-Scl-70, CENP A, CENP B, RNAP III, U3-RNP, NOR90, Th/To, Pm-Scl100, Pm-Scl75, Ku, PDGFR and Ro-52.
