A serum sample for calcium and creatinine must be collected within 24-48 hours of the urine collection.

CCCR Interpretation
This test is used to exclude familial hypocalciuric hypercalcaemia (FHH, a rare genetic disorder, which is usually asymptomatic) as a potential cause of hypercalcaemia.
<0.01: possible FHH. Consider referral to endocrine for genetic confirmation.
>0.01 - <0.02: borderline ratio, FHH is unlikely but consider repeat.
>0.02: FHH is excluded.
