Immunology
The Department of Immunology provides a range of tests for the investigation of patients with suspected or confirmed auto-immune disease, immune deficiency and allergic conditions, with access to clinical advice on appropriate investigation and interpretation of test results.

Guidance on appropriate testing
The laboratory is open between 9am – 5.15pm, Monday to Friday. There is no out of hour immunology service.
For Cryoglobulin assessment – need for warm separated serum
For the addition of extra tests or if a test is urgent, please contact the department on 01225 824737. The time limit for requesting extra tests is within 5 days, otherwise a fresh sample is required.

Referrals
There is limited access to on-site clinical immunology at the RUH.
