The dermatology department is offering the following services during the COVID-19 period:
- New 2WW face-to-face appointments – either via direct 2WW referral booking process from the GP (referral form is on our website) or following teledermatology triage including images (with a dermatoscope if possible) via Cinapsis
- One-stop urgent skin cancer surgery (suspect melanoma or high risk SCC)
- We are continuing the 2WW teledermatology triage pilot (individual surgeries will already know if they are involved in this project)
- Follow-up teleconsultations with patients for biologics, inflammatory dermatoses, isotretinoin patients
- Skin cancer F/U surveillance appointments will be telephone appointments (skin cancer CNS). Urgent face-to-face appointments can subsequently be arranged if there are any concerns
- To discuss patients that you think require an urgent face-to-face appointment, please use Cinapsis Advice and Guidance in the first instance (with photographs if possible)
- There will be a non patient-facing consultant on site for remote consultations and advice daily plus another patient-facing doctor (Consultant or other grade)
