Apply for study leave

Study leave for trainees in recognised Foundation and GP training posts is processed directly with the respective Foundation and GP Schools.

For all other recognised Specialty Trainees study leave is administered via RUH using the Health Education South West study leave system. Please refer to the Severn Deanery website.

Study leave and funding for doctors in Trust appointed posts is not administered through the Postgraduate Medical Centre. However, study leave funding may be available from within the Trust doctor's specialty. Funding will vary depending on local agreements. Any application for this would need to go through the respective Lead Clinician and divisional ITR process (your clinical lead and specialty manager will be able to guide you through this process).
