Supporting births at home and at Chippenham Birth Centre in March

We are pleased to confirm that from 8am on Tuesday 21 March we will be able to support your choice to birth at:

• Home
• Chippenham Birth Centre

As well as continuing to support births at:

• Frome Birth Centre
• Bath Birthing Centre (RUH Hospital, Bath)

Wherever you are considering having your baby, please discuss this with your midwife at your next appointment. You can discuss your choice of place of birth with your midwife at any stage of your pregnancy. You will also be provided with a QR code to access information on your choices to help with your decision making.

We want to thank you for your understanding during this difficult time and offer our apologies for not being able to offer as wide a choice of place of birth to families over the past year. This was due to staff shortages and the need to prioritise the safety of women, birthing people and their babies before, during and after birth.

We are planning some early evening open events at our birth centres over the next few weeks:

• Frome Birth Centre - Thursday 23 February
• Chippenham Birth Centre - Thursday 2 March

You'll be able to look around our birth centres and meet our community midwives, as well as members of our Maternity Voices Partnership. Please look out for further posts on our Facebook page and website.
