Contraceptive Implants - Nexplanon (Etonorgestrol)
Nexplanon subdermal contraceptive implant for contraception are licenced by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Authority (MHRA) for up to 5 years of continuous use. This is extended from the previous 3 year guideline. This extended duration gives patients greater flexibility and reduces the number of times they need to be replaced.
