Service Leads
Nikie CatchpoolJoint Clinical Lead BCFSConsultant Occupational Therapist, Macmillan Professional and Visiting Lecturer University of the West of England (UWE) Bristol. Experienced in developing services for people with enduring fatigue which prevents engagement in meaningful daily activities. Has jointly designed, developed and led the service over the last twenty years with Anne Johnson, expanding this from a local to a national service. Has a special interest in employment and work related needs and has advised on these issues at a national level for the Department of Health. Holds a Masters Degree in Applied Social Research conducting research into the role of the Occupational Therapist and the employers perspective of employing people with ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. |

Effective influencer across organisations. Knowledge and skills in long term conditions management including chronic fatigue ME/CFS and cancer fatigue and rehabilitation. Holds a MA in Applied Social Research and a PhD focusing on the experiences of men living with chronic fatigue. Invited member of Macmillan Cancer Support Allied Health Professionals Expert Advisory Group. Commitment to Patient and Public Involvement in education of under graduate and post graduate students, promoter of lifelong learning and continuous professional development, research and clinical placement support. Professional involvement at national and strategic levels in clinical and academic settings. |
