Nikie CatchpoolConsultant Occupational Therapist | Macmillan Professional | Visiting Lecturer, University of the West of England (UWE) BristolNikie has over 20 years of experience developing services for people living with enduring fatigue that impacts their ability to engage in meaningful daily activities. Together with Anne Johnson, she has designed, developed, and led a service that has grown from a local initiative to a nationally recognised programme. She has a particular interest in employment and work-related needs, advising at a national level. Nikie holds a Master’s degree in Applied Social Research, where her research explored the role of Occupational Therapists and employers’ perspectives on supporting people with ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. More recently, she completed a postgraduate certificate in sleep medicine and sleep disorders, further enhancing her expertise in fatigue management |

Effective influencer across organisations. Knowledge and skills in long term conditions management including chronic fatigue ME/CFS and cancer fatigue and rehabilitation. Holds a MA in Applied Social Research and a PhD focusing on the experiences of men living with chronic fatigue. Invited member of Macmillan Cancer Support Allied Health Professionals Expert Advisory Group. Commitment to Patient and Public Involvement in education of under graduate and post graduate students, promoter of lifelong learning and continuous professional development, research and clinical placement support. Professional involvement at national and strategic levels in clinical and academic settings. |
