Free online training and assessment is available via the IT Skills Pathway on Digital Literacy in the Workplace, Essential Office Skills, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (basic through to advanced), Outlook, SharePoint and Linked In. This can be accessed on any computer with an internet connection, both at home or work, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

IT Skills Pathway has been developed to provide an officially recognised route of learning and certification for the whole workforce. Its purpose is to encourage everyone working with IT to review their current IT skills and knowledge against recognised standards, determine what their skill gaps are and then identify their current and future training requirements. It contains diagnostic tools to assess your current skill level and then subsequently suggests a learning path.

You do not have to complete the course in one session but can save along the way. There is an assessment at the end of each course. Once you pass the assessment you can then print out a certificate for yourself.
