RUH New Staff

Looking after you: free confidential coaching

What is coaching?

Coaching is a conversational approach that provides you with time to think. By having a series of purposeful conversations, coaching can unlock a person's potential to help improve their own performance.

Your coach won't judge you, or give you advice and the aim is simply to help you learn and grow through a thought-provoking and creative process. The sessions can be arranged with a focus on a specific development area, topic or goal – it's up to you.

Your sessions are completely confidential - your coaching is nothing to do with your performance in training or your job.

How does it work at the RUH?

Coaching is a short-term relationship, usually four to six sessions, with each session usually between 60 and 90 minutes each and they can be arranged face to face or via MS Teams at a time convenient to you.

By having a series of conversations with a qualified RUH staff member you can use the time to talk many topics such as how to build resilience, overcome imposter syndrome, improve your self-confidence, how to think or see things differently or change your perspective on something that challenges you.

Coaching will also help you work out what your goals are and find some balance whether personally or professionally.
