Essential roadworks at RUH front entrance

Essential road repairs are taking place outside the RUH main entrance from Monday August 22 – Friday August 26.

Bus services will run as normal. Parking by the main entrance will be suspended, although drivers will be able to drop off passengers before parking elsewhere. All ambulances bringing non-emergency patients will use the Penn Hill Road entrance and will be directed to a designated parking area at the rear of the west block near the boiler house.

Diversions signs will be in place and traffic marshals will be on site to help patients and visitors. John Moore, RUH Building Surveyor, said: "We'll be working closely with our contractors to complete this project as quickly as possible and with the minimum of disruption. We apologise for any inconvenience, but it is essential this road repair and resurfacing work takes place before the winter."
