North Wiltshire constituency meeting

The Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust (RUH) will be holding its next North Wiltshire constituency meeting on Monday 24 April in Chippenham.

The event will be hosted by Public Governors for North Wiltshire Jan Taylor and Chris Callow at Chippenham Town Hall and will run from 2pm until 4pm, with tea and coffee available from 1.30pm.

The meeting will include a discussion about the RUH's Emergency Department (commonly referred to as the hospital's 'front door') and will involve an interactive session designed to explore how the discharge of medically well patients can be improved at the RUH's 'back door' (once they have completed treatment on the wards). Deputy Chief Executive Sarah Truelove will also be in attendance and will provide an update on the Trust's activities and plans.

Chris Callow, Governor for North Wiltshire said: "I look forward to meeting with our local constituents and listening to their views, concerns and ideas. Constituency meetings are an ideal time to gather feedback from the people we serve and make sure that that feedback is heard by the Board of Directors. It also provides us with a welcome opportunity to update constituents about the developments, successes and aspirations of the Trust."

Brian Stables, Chair of the RUH said: "Through the Council of Governors, Members of the RUH are given a real opportunity to have their say in the future direction of the Trust and can have a direct influence in the development of services within the hospital.

"It is important to us to have an engaged and active Membership, and we hope to see many of our North Wiltshire constituents at the meeting. You needn't already be a Member to attend. Simply come along, listen, and join in – and, if you feel that you would like be part of our growing family of Members, you can always sign up on the night."

Places must be booked in advance by contacting the RUH Membership Office on 01225 821262 or RUHmembership@nhs.net
