New Non-Executive Director for RUH Trust
A new Non-Executive Director with a wealth of financial management experience has been appointed to the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust.
Antony Durbacz is a chartered accountant who has spent his career in financial leadership roles within the commercial sector.
He previously held a Non-Executive Director role at Taunton and Somerset Foundation Trust, where he was Chair of the Audit Committee.
Antony will play a key role in bringing an independent perspective to the boardroom and use his professional skills and insight to support the governance and strategic development of the Trust.
Antony said: "I'm delighted to be joining the Trust, which has established a great reputation for the quality of its care. It provides a great service to many people across the region. I look forward to being part of the team seeking to deliver its strategic agenda, which will strengthen the local healthcare system to provide high quality services that are both clinically and financially sustainable."
Antony takes up the NED position vacated by Joanna Hole, who has been with the Trust since 2011, holding a variety of posts, including Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Non-Clinical Governance Committee.
Trust Chair Alison Ryan said: "I'm delighted that Antony will be joining us. His extensive financial experience, coupled with his understanding of the important role of a Non-Executive Director, will be a huge asset to the Trust going forward.
"I would like to thank Joanna for her tireless work and support that she has given to us over the past years. She has been a pleasure to work with and will be missed."
