Nominations open for new RUH public governor
Nominations are now open for a public governor vacancy at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust.
The vacancy is for the North Wiltshire constituency, where the previous candidate had to withdraw from last autumn's election process for personal reasons.
Nominations are open from today, Monday 13 February, until Tuesday 28 February. Voting opens on Monday 20 March and runs until Tuesday 11 April.
The role of a governor is vital in ensuring that the Trust delivers services that meet the needs of patients, carers, staff and local stakeholders, and that the views of local people are heard and fed back to the Board of Directors.
Alison Ryan, Trust Chair, said: "The role of a public governor at the RUH is a really important one - you act as the voice of our members and local communities and can help to make real changes.
"So if you think you think you could use your experience, skills and enthusiasm to make a positive difference in your local area, this is your opportunity to get involved and to make your voice count."
