Service to remember special babies

Families who have lost a baby are being invited to attend a special remembrance service at Bath's Haycombe Cemetery on Saturday 11 May 2024.

Organised by the Spiritual Care Team at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust, the charity Bath Sands and B&NES Bereavement Services, the service is an opportunity for families who have lost a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death to come together and remember those who have been lost.

Narinder Tegally, RUH Lead Chaplain, said, "This service is for people of all faiths and spirituality, and is an opportunity for families who have lost a baby to come together and remember those lives that were lost too soon."

The service takes place on Saturday 11 May at 1pm in the Top Chapel at Haycombe Cemetery, Whiteway Road, Bath, BA2 2RQ.

After the service, there will be refreshments and an opportunity for families to visit the Bath Sands Baby Garden.

The Trust offers a full bereavement and support service for grieving parents and families, including a purpose-built bereavement suite that provides the space and privacy they need at a particularly difficult time.
