Service to remember special babies
Families who have lost a baby are being invited to attend a special remembrance service at Bath’s Haycombe Cemetery on Saturday 7 June 2025.
Organised by the Spiritual Care team at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust and the charity Bath Sands, the service is an opportunity for families who have lost a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death to come together and remember those who have been lost.
Narinder Tegally, RUH Lead Chaplain, said, “This service is for people of all faiths and spirituality, and is an opportunity for families who have lost a baby to come together and remember those lives that were lost too soon.
“There will be readings, music and an Act of Remembrance for our special babies where people attending the service will be able to write the name of their baby onto a paper butterfly and light a candle in their memory.”
The service takes place on Saturday 7 June at 1pm in the Hilltop Chapel at Haycombe Cemetery, Whiteway Road, Bath, BA2 2RQ.
After the service, there will be refreshments and an opportunity for families to visit the Bath Sands Baby Garden.
