About the Ward



Ward Layout

The Cardiology Day Case Unit is a 6 trolley/chairs unit situated on the second floor in Zone B (B56) accessed through the Vascular Studies department. It is open:

  • 7am - 7pm (Monday to Friday)
  • 7am - 3pm (Saturday and Sunday)

We are a Nurse led Cardiology Unit providing care for patients admitted for planned treatment and/or investigations. from a wide range of medical specialities, thereby reducing the need for inpatient admission. These specialities include:

  • Cardiology

Our ward philosophy is to care for each of our patients as an individual, providing a supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity and the highest standards of clinical treatment.

Meals and Drinks

Due to the flexible nature of our role, food and drink are provided according to each individual patient requirements.

Personal Belongings

  • For Cardiology patients, we request that you bring in all of your medications from home

This hospital cannot accept responsibility or any liability for cash, valuables or personal property brought into hospital unless these are handed to the ward for safe-keeping and an official receipt issued.
