About the Ward

Ward Layout

We are situated Zone B on the ground floor. The 10 bed unit is dedicated to Neurology patients and shares a therapy gym with the Acute Stroke Unit.

Meals and Drinks

There is a choice of menu and we also cater for special dietary needs. Meal times are approximately as follows:

  • Breakfast 7.30 - 8.00am
  • Lunch 12.30 pm
  • Supper 5.30 pm

We serve hot drinks with meals and also mid-morning, mid-afternoon and in the evening.

Personal Belongings

To help keep you comfortable during your stay, we encourage your relatives to check that you have sufficient clothing, slippers, toiletries and towels, etc. We suggest you do not bring valuables into the hospital.

Please note there are no clothes washing facilities on the ward. Flowers are not allowed for hygiene reasons, either potted or in vases.

The Care Team

Medlock Neurology is headed by the ward manager and has a Neurology Speciality nurse. The Nurses work within in a dedicated Multidisciplinary team setting.
