What are Changing Places toilets?

Changing Places toilets are specially equipped for people with significant learning and physical disabilities, and their carers, to use safely and with dignity. They offer more space to accommodate two carers and a person than a standard disabled toilet, and include a height adjustable toilet, sink, an adult-sized changing bench, hoist and shower.

RADAR key

If you need a RADAR key to use the RUH Changing Places toilet, there are spare keys to borrow at:

  • Main Reception by the front door in the Atrium - open daily
  • The reception in the Medical Assessment Unit (C1) – open 24 hours every day
  • The Quality Improvement Centre (D1) – open office hours, Monday to Friday
