The Service
We provide a service for patients with malignant and non-malignant blood disorders.
The Haematology service offers a multi-disciplinary setting for:
- Diagnosis
- Evaluation
- Treatment planning & management
- Long-term follow-up
We offer outpatient and inpatient management of all haematological disorders. Treatment options may include chemotherapy, radiotherapy, antibody therapies, autologous blood and marrow transplants, blood product transfusion, coagulation service, apheresis service for stem cell collection.
Patients needing a stem cell transplant requiring donor stem cells : this service is offered at Bristol under a shared care package.

The department for haematology is based in the laboratories situated opposite the North entrance to the RUH. Haematology clinics are based in Oncology/Haematology outpatients department and inpatients are admitted to William Budd Ward – dependent on beds being available.
