Nigel Stevens
Deputy Chair and Senior Independent Director
Nigel served in the Royal Air Force from 1987 – 2006. After leaving the RAF Nigel became the managing director of Transdev London in 2006 as well as being the Chief Executive Officer of UK & Ireland Transdev Group from 2006 – 2018.
Nigel's areas of interest is the Trust relationship with external bodies and key partners within the system. Nigel was appointed as a NED on the 1st of April 2018. He was reappointed on the 1st April 2021

Sumita Hutchison
Sumita came to the Trust from a background in law, having gained a Law degree from QMC London University and a Master in Legal Patrice Course from the University of the West of England, she started of her career working as an employment solicitor for Clarke, Willmott and Irwin Mitchell in 1998, before progressing to the Equalities and engagement lead for the Avon and Somerset Police in 2006.
In 2017 she became the Social Care Commissioner for Bristol City Council and South Gloucestershire Council until 2019.

Paul came to the Trust with a background in law, having gained a Law degree from the University of Bristol, he started his career working as an Assistant Solicitor for Simmons and Simmonds in 1990, before moving to the Intercontinental Hotels Group PLC in 1997 where he held a number of roles including Vice President Strategic Business Development, Greater China.
Paul is also a Trustee of Designability, and the Back Up Trust.

Paul Fox
Paul had a financial background having graduated from Oxford University in 1990 with a MA in Modern History and Economics. Paul has worked as Finance Director / Chief Operating Officer in a range of complex organisations, in both the public and private sectors, for almost 30 years.
He has led and managed staff teams, with a focus on financial strategy, governance, risk, HR/workforce strategy, commercial awareness, estates strategy, cost effective service delivery, together with effective stakeholder and change management.

Hannah has a Clinical background, having gained her undergraduate degree from the University of Cardiff in 2010, before completing her Masters in 2018. She started her career at the Anrurin Bevan Healthcare Board in 2010 before progressing to the Fraser Health Authority in 2013. Hannah spent time oversea before coming back to the UK in 2015.

Dr Simon Harrod
Simon trained as an Anaesthetist in London and became a Consultant at St Bartholomew's Hospital in 1996. After several medical management roles, he was appointed as the Medical Director for the Royal London Hospital in 2015 and remained in the role until his retirement in 2022 when he moved to Amesbury.
Simon has witnessed and led on many changes during the course of his career and is interested in patient safety and improving the quality of healthcare for all patients. He is passionate about using his experience to ensure that the Trust maintains its high reputation and that the needs of the local community are reflected in the Trust's strategy.
