Preceptorship Programme |
---|
Preceptorship is the beginning of a lifelong journey of reflection, the ability to self-identify continuing professional development needs that promote accountability, self-reflection and safe practice.
From the moment you register with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) you become accountable and are expected to be autonomous with a responsibility to uphold the professional standards set by your professional body. To help support you we have developed the preceptorship programme. To aid you to reflect, learn and develop over the next 6-12 months.
Preceptorship is not about you revisiting your training but rather enhancing and maximising your professional development for the benefit of your patients, your team/department, the Trust and of course yourself. You will learn skills that will aid you in your new workplace and be effective tools in improving your practice here at the Royal United Hospital.
Certificate for 30 hours face-to-face CPD time issued on completion of the Programme, when all content and requirements have been completed.
