- On-site nursery – Riverside Nursery are based on site and supports staff by offering flexible childcare options and extended operating hours.
- Join staff networks to support and share experiences with others – these networks are an important part of the RUH and a key way the organisation gets to hear about the lived experiences of its staff and celebrate the diversity and difference they bring. We have the following staff networks:
- Enable Network – for disabled and neurodiverse colleagues to share their experiences and put forward suggestions to improve the Trust's policies
- LGBTQ+ Network – for all staff who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community
- REACH – the Race, Ethnicity And Cultural Heritage Network is a safe space for colleagues from ethnic minority backgrounds to share their experiences, raise concerns, access support, and work towards change
- Armed Forces Network – for veterans, members of the armed forces, and their families
- Women's Network – for anyone who identifies as a woman working at the RUH
- Men's Network – for anyone who identifies as a man working at the RUH
- Military and veteran support committed to honouring the Armed Forces Covenant and supporting the Armed Forced Community.
- Spiritual Care Centre – open 24/7 to provide pastoral support and spiritual care to patients, their carers and staff.
- Restaurant and cafés – the Lansdown restaurant serves hot and cold food and refreshments, a Friends of the RUH Coffee Shop and Atrium café - all offer staff discount. We also have a 24/7 hot food vending machine and water refill stations.

- Staff car parking for those who travel from further afield to join us – we have staff car parking on-site and applications for a parking permit can be submitted upon joining the Trust.
- Discounts for public bus routes to the RUH.
- Join My Journey car-share scheme – we have a journey sharing platform, allowing staff to find RUH colleagues to share a car, cycling or walking journey to and from work.
- Salary sacrifice schemes – we offer the Cycle to Work scheme (up to £4,000) and the opportunity to lease a brand new ultra low emissions vehicle (ULEV) or electric vehicle (EV) via salary sacrifice for permanent RUH employees. Find out more about the ULEV lease scheme here.
- Park and Stride from Newbridge Park & Ride – remove the stress of parking onsite and walk from Newbridge Park and Ride. There is a small daily charge for parking at Newbridge Park & Ride when you are not catching a bus.
- Electric car charging on site – we have multiple charging points for our staff to use on site.
- Locked cycle storage – we have a number of cycle storage facilities across our site providing sheltered spaces for staff to secure their bicycles in a safe place.
- Electric bike loan scheme – you can get a free electric bike on loan which is leased through our Sustainability team for up to one month.
- TIER e-Scooters – TIER offer NHS staff a 50% discount via their access scheme for scooter and bike hire. We have a designated pick-up and drop-off area at the RUH

- On-site nursery – Riverside Nursery are based on-site providing childcare Monday – Friday, 7.15am – 6pm for shift workers or 8am – 6pm for other staff, all year round other than bank holidays and a week at Christmas
