The Recruitment Process

Your offer of employment

If your application is successful you will be sent a conditional offer via your NHS Jobs account. Your offer will be conditional as we need to undertake a number of mandatory NHS employment checks. These checks apply to all applications for NHS positions and staff in on-going NHS employment.

The following are the pre-employment checks which will be undertaken before a final offer of appointment is confirmed with you:

  1. Identity
  2. Right to work in the UK
  3. Disclosure and Barring service (formerly Criminal Records Bureau)
  4. Professional registration and qualifications (where relevant to the role)
  5. Employment history and references
  6. Work health assessment
