Working for us

Digital Nurse Team

Our role

The Digital Nurse Team are available to support wards, teams and individuals with all aspects of digital nursing. We provide a link between the clinical and digital aspects of the nursing role. We are involved in the updating/refinement of current systems and the development of future projects. Our priority is to represent the nursing workforce, with the aim of ensuring that present and future systems meet the needs of clinical staff so that we can provide our patients with the best care possible.

Alongside this we are available to support the wards with specific digital nursing requirements, assisting with training and troubleshooting. We are also involved in monitoring digital compliance and much more.

Below you will find links to some useful information including some 'How To' guides:

From 27 February 2023, lying and standing blood pressure must be recorded in Millennium, rather than on a paper form.

A drop in BP upon standing (known as orthostatic hypotension) is common in acutely ill older people. This increases risk of a fall, and simple changes such as re-hydration or a change of medication can reduce this risk. A request for a medication review is always a sensible precaution if there is orthostatic hypotension.

Please see the RUH intranet page link:
