Hospital transport is limited and reserved ONLY for those who have no other means. Therefore, we ask you to make your own arrangements wherever possible.

Hospital transport is limited and reserved ONLY for those who have no other means. Therefore, we ask you to make your own arrangements wherever possible
All patients with diabetes should have a blood test (for diabetes control, kidney function, cholesterol levels) done one week prior to their appointment. This can be arranged at your GP surgery, or here at the RUH (B9). The doctor will have put a request on the system at your previous appointment, but if it is your first visit please ask your GP to request it
Please bring a urine sample, blood glucose meter and your most up-to-date prescription to the clinic appointment

What to expect in clinic:

On arrival at the clinic, please report to the receptionist
You will be seen by a nurse who will check your height, weigh you and measure your blood pressure. You will then see the doctor
The doctor that you see will be a consultant or a member of their team. There may be medical students present, but you have the right to ask to see the doctor alone
