Cycling and Walking
We are committed to promoting sustainable modes of transport. We provide dedicated cycle and motorcycle parking areas for members of the public to use whilst visiting the RUH. These are located by the main entrance and other locations across the RUH site.
There are some excellent cycle routes serving the site. In particular the two major routes – the Bristol to Bath Railway Path (National Cycle Network 4) from the west and the Two Tunnels Greenway (NCN 244) from the south. Both bring cyclists to within a short ride on roads to the RUH.
The RUH is 1.5 miles from the city centre railway and bus stations. You can walk along the shared cycle and pedestrian towpath along the River Avon, or through the beautiful Royal Victoria Park and past the world-famous Royal Crescent.
