Bath's Clean Air Zone
If you need to drive through the city to reach us, please note that Bath operates a charging clean air zone (CAZ) in the city centre to tackle harmful pollution.
Cars and motorbikes are not charged. Charges apply to buses, coaches, HGVS, taxis, vans, pick-ups, motorhomes, horse transporters and some campers and Land Rovers depending on emission standards.
To check your vehicle and pay zone charges, go to www.gov.uk/clean-air-zones. If charges apply, pay within 6 days at GOV.UK. No reminders are sent. You can check if a vehicle is nationally exempt on the GOV.UK website.
Local exemptions are available at www.bathnes.gov.uk/CAZexemptions
High levels of pollution caused by vehicle emissions can affect healthy lung development in children and worsen heart and lung conditions such as asthma.
To help tackle air pollution in the city, please consider using the city's park and rides or make use of alternative transport where possible.
Car parking
There is limited public parking on site and we cannot guarantee you will always find a parking space, particularly at peak times during the week.
Please be good neighbours and park safely and responsibly on and off site. We can't ignore parking that can cause a danger to our staff and visitors, or that disrupts the running of the hospital and the care we provide our patients.
Drivers are also asked to back our 'Switch Off when you Drop Off' campaign and turn off their engines when dropping off passengers.
Motorcycles
We provide free and dedicated motorcycle parking areas for members of the public to use. Please see the map for locations.
