Improving Together
Training for staff
Leading for Change
We know that we all do better when staff have the space to develop and strengthen their leadership skills and behaviours. This means that our patients will have a better experience, and our colleagues can show up to work each day, knowing we have an environment that supports us to do our best.
Training for our leaders consists of sessions that focus on compassionate, collaborative and curious leadership, behaviours that are the foundations of the new national NHS 'leadership way'.
Quality Improvement (QI) Champion
Quality Improvement is about giving the people closest to the issues affecting care the time, permission, skills, and resources they need to solve them. Our Improving Together programme is about giving as many of you as possible the time and space to do this.
We know that when the people closest to issues affecting care are given the time, permission, skills and resources, problems are solved and the quality of care we provide to our patients is improved. This means that our patients will have a better experience, and we, as colleagues, can show up to work each day knowing we have an environment that supports us to do our best.
In Summer 2022, we launched our Quality Improvement (QI) Champion role. Any staff member can become a QI Champion; they will receive specific training that will enable them to lead and support improvements in their area.
