Paediatric Department

About the Department

The Paediatric Department is based in the Children's Centre which opened in 2001. This purpose-built centre comprised of the following:

• Children's Ward - (Department B15 - Map)
• Paediatric Assessment Unit (PAU) - within the Children's Ward - B15 - Map
• Children's Outpatients Department - (Department B11 - Map)
• Children's Therapies Department (including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech & Language Therapy based within the Children's Centre, Zone B)

Newborn babies requiring special care are cared for in the award-winning Dyson Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), which was opened in 2011.
