About us

The Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases (RNHRD) has a long history of excellence in the management of Axial Spondyloarthritis (Ankylosing Spondylitis) and is internationally renowned for being at the forefront of care and research into this condition.

We have been facilitating a two-week residential programme that has been running for more than 45 years. The model is unique in its holistic, multidisciplinary approach to improving health and well-being and providing supported self-management strategies for living well with AxSpA.

The in-person programme was paused during the COVID-19 pandemic, and developed so it could be delivered on-line, as a one-week virtual programme.

We are now able to re-open in-person programmes, so will be scheduling both in-person and virtual programmes in the future.
