Working for us

RUH New Staff

Keeping you connected

At the RUH we use the following online platforms listed below to communicate with each other and to inform colleagues what's happening in the Trust as well as in your team, we'd like to introduce you to the following:

NHS Mail

We use NHS mail so if you already have an NHS email address, you'll keep this when you join us. If you're new to the NHS, we'll create one for you.

Intranet

This is the first place to go if you need any information, guidance or support. You'll be able to access this here as soon as you are set up on your first day.

MS Teams

We use Microsoft Teams as our main internal messaging system and as our default virtual meeting platform.

Workplace

We use Workplace to keep us all connected and to share what's going on in the Trust, for example you'll find team updates, information about new services, training and celebrating our colleagues. If you don't use a computer regularly at work, you can download it as a mobile phone app. You will be sent login details so you can access Workplace from your first day.

Staff Briefs

Every Monday and Thursday our Communications team send out a staff brief email which contains updates on what's new in the Trust, need to know and activities to take part in (if you want to).

Weekly Q&A sessions and virtual all staff briefs

Each week, the Executive team hosts a Q&A session for all staff, via Microsoft Teams. Everyone is welcome to come along, listen in, and ask any questions.

Our virtual all staff brief includes an update regarding the latest information on topics like Operational Performance and Finance.

Good to know

How to request annual leave

We use an online rostering system called Allocate. This can be accessed from our intranet and you can download it as an app on your phone to see your rota, annual leave and submit requests.

E-learning

Learn Together is our learning system where you'll be able to see and complete all of your training. You will be able to book classroom and online training and also use it for your annual appraisal.

Access control and car parking

The Access Control team who issue your ID card can help you with any swipe access issues. They can also help you with any car parking queries and can be reached on 01225 826200 or if calling internally on ext. 6200.
