About the Department
We provide consultation, treatment, investigations and advice to patients with orthopaedic conditions, soft tissue and bone injuries.
Hip Fracture Management
A hip fracture is when the top of your thigh bone in your hip joint breaks either because of trauma like a fall or other reasons such as osteoporosis. Joint Replacement Surgery
Joint replacement surgery is performed to improve the quality of patients lives.
There are several reasons a joint replacement maybe advised, but most commonly this is for the treatment of Osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is an inflammatory condition that causes damage to various structures with in the joint that can cause pain and stiffness of the joint, leading to a reduction in quality of life. The Team
The department team consists of Consultants, Registrars, Associate Specialists, Physiotherapy Specialists, Orthopaedic Team Leader, Clinic Nurses, Plaster Technicians, Physiotherapists and Receptionists.
