Neurology Physiotherapy Team

We are a dedicated and enthusiastic team based and located on Medlock Ward, which is an acute 34 bed unit providing specialist multidisciplinary assessments, treatments and care.

Our team consist of specialist senior neurology physiotherapists, rotating physiotherapists and a technical instructor, all working closely together, forming an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. We provide specialist neurology assessments and individualised treatments of patients that may have had a Stroke or that may suffer from conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis or Guillon-Barre syndrome to name a few.

Rehabilitation will most commonly take place on the ward itself or in our dedicated neurology gym. We are, however, also linked to the hydrotherapy department and when clinically indicated, treatment may, with the patients consent, take place in the hydrotherapy pool.
