RUH Redevelopment Plan
Spritual Care Centre
Work complete
Our new Spiritual Care Centre – a space for reflection and prayer – is now complete and has opened. It has been purpose-built to replace our former Chapel and offers 24-hour access for people of all faiths or none, providing room for anyone to come and sit, to talk, reflect, pray or simply gather their thoughts.Ablution and prayer spaces are available for those who need them, as well a quiet and private area for confidential and sensitive conversations. There's also a peaceful courtyard garden with planting, seating and sculpture.
The new building, which was designed in conjunction with members of different faiths, is located on the crossroads of Zone C&D on the hospital ground floor.
Lead Chaplain
The Reverend Narinder Tegally is our Lead Chaplain, joining the Trust from her role as a Parish Priest in Buckinghamshire. She is no stranger to Hospital Chaplaincy – she was previously Chaplain at the Royal Free Hospital and Senior Chaplain for Guys and St Thomas' Hospital and the Évelina Children's Hospital in London.
