NHS Direct Online is a website providing high quality health information and advice. It provides an interactive self-help guide to treating common health problems at home, an A-Z of illnesses and conditions with links to other websites, interactive health quizzes and an online enquiry service, staffed by health information professionals.

If you need health information or advice at any time of the day or night, on any day of the year, call NHS Direct on 0845 4647. You can ring for nurse advice if you are feeling ill and are unsure what to do, or for health information on a particular condition.

Calls to NHS Direct are charged at BT local rates. Other telephone service providers, including mobile operators, may charge different call rates. All calls are completely confidential. For patient safety, all calls are recorded.
